Updates for 1.09

Filed under: Uncategorized — Omega @ 1:46 pm

The version changer has been updated to work with the new 1.09 update.

Click here to download. It works for both PC and CE. More information about the version changer can be found here.

Edit: For those who want to use the sightjacker, download the old 1.08 executables here. Put those in your halo folder (make a backup of the files first) and overwrite the new executables  1.09 executables. You will run 1.08 halo and can use the Sightjacker. Then use version changer to change to 1.09. Sightjacker will be updated in the future, this is only a work-around.

  3. Sightjacker (SJ) hasn’t been updated yet. For the moment download the old 1.08 halo exe and then user version changer to change to 1.09 (see edited post for details).

  6. I only collied the three files into the Halo directory and it works fine. THANK YOU!

Just one suggestion. Sightjacker is awesome. The only frustration I have with it is the view for a driver or passenger. Must be taken from the undercarriage or the axel. Fenders and wheels block view. Wireframe helps but what I’d really like to see is a third person view from behind so I could see the whole vehicle and the people in it. Of course I have no Idea how difficult or even possible that would be. Just airing my wish list.

Keep up the good work. Thanks again!

  8. Unsure, but it seems that some 1.09 servers do not appear if you run 1.08 and use vchanger to change to v1.09.

I did as you said and got SJ working, but I can’t enter my own server suing thsi method to get SJ operational 😦

If you had enough requests, would this make you more inclined to update SJ?

It is an essential tool in the fight against cheats. So much so that I would be happy to make a donation of cash to get an updated version.

Please consider this. In the meantime, I’m gonna tell all my friends to post a request here!

  9. User requests and donations always motivate a programmer. Currently the update is scheduled to happen after the server tool is finished (I don’t know exactly when it will be finished). If there’s enough interest I’ll update it before the end of this year.

  11. version changer does not work with version 1.09 of Halo PC/Halo CE.

You need to get the 1.08 executable (download link at the top of this page).

Once you have that installed in your Hslo folder, you need to press the tilde key ‘~’ to open the console.

You also need to add the command line parameter ‘-console’ to the properties/target section in your Halo icon before the console can be activated in game.

  12. While I appreciate what you were trying to do, I hope in the future if we were ever to get another update for this game, that you would not update version changer anymore and just update Sightjacker. Version changer updates have made all the bots work with every successive halo update, including Clickbot, which can’t be detected well, if at all, even if you are using Sightjacker and it has become more prevalent over time. I still enjoy playing this game – minus that bots that ruin it. It just seems to me that all the version changer updates ruined a great opportunity to be rid of most bots.

  13. What we need is a server side app that checks to see if the player is running a ‘clean’ version of halo with no known hacks running alongsid it. save us goemitar 😉

  14. Hi, I am looking for a working sightjacker for halo combat evolved. I’m not sure if there are any, as the last one I had, worked for custom edition only, if I remember correctly. As I’m sure you all know, these SJ programs stopped working with the last halo update. If I understand correctly, Goemitar is offering a SJ program, but it sounds complicated to use/set up. I want one that you can open up and easily activate. If that can’t be done, you will have to explain to me step by step how to set up the available program. Pretend I’m an idiot…. within reason. I’m not that good with manipulating game files. Thank you.
